From I know is that FSD can't be lowered that much. It will be only a little bit lower than stock height, and I doubt that you can use other spring with the shocks.

Dont get me wrong, koni yellows are the real deal...but I think the best compromise for a daily driver is with the new FSD technolgy...they seem to be on to something there.

Just read your question about the Koni FSD shocks, and i can tell you that at this moment there will be no Koni FSD shocks available yet here in Netherland for the 330 i. The reason that i know this is because my 330i will be used (in October) for some research and development for the new (BMW e90) FSD shocks from Koni Netherland (Oud-Beijerland).My BMW dealer has a good relationship with the guys from Koni Netherland, and they made an apointment with Koni to give some data and experience. A lot of circuit and road tests with different brands of cars has proven that the concept of the FSD shocks works very well.It gives the car a real good driveabilty without losing comfort.Koni yellow(sport) shocks are also really good, but gives a car less comfort. My 330i has the original sportpackage shocks, but the driveability of my car is very dissapointing, especially when we are talking about the straight-out stability on straight flat roads while driving speeds above 140 km/h.(see also topic:experiences with 235/35/19 tires) The car has a very nervous behaviour which results in sidemoves at the front side of the car and later (at higher speeds) also at the backside of the car. After my BMW dealer changed my 19 inch wheels(with conventional tires!!) with the original styling 161 17 inch wheels with the bridgestone rft tires and checked the alignment set-up,the car is still not acceptable with it,s way of steeringbehaviour. So my last hope is that the guys from Koni are gonna do a good job with my car, because my patience with this car is almost gone. My BMW dealer has good expectations of this,so we will see....... If the car is still dissapointing after mounting the Koni FSD shocks,my 330i has to leave for a BMW 3 with the best driveability at this moment...........the M3 e46 |
