328i no comfort access?

the configurator on the bmw.ca site doesn't have comfort access for 328i and 328xi but the 335i does.

nm there's none

Neither are the rear sunshades if the '07 models follow suit from the '06s.

Exclamation Not so fast...

weiweiwei, all you have to do is ask them for it...

I just ordered my 328 with CA, the charge was the same $750 as you would pay on the 335, plus a $400 upcharge for a custom order. Adds to the price, but for my first Bimmer, I was definitely getting what I wanted.

My rep was great and he showed me the email from Head Office on the $400 charge, so no haggle room there, but everything else was fair game.

I hope this reply is not too late for you, but I just jumped on e90post recently and I'm trying to get through the gazillion wicked threads/posts, but all the schweeeet pics are slowing me down!

Can't wait for my baby to come in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure that I would say everything, but these cars are modular production-line items. The proof for me was that our US friends can have what they want on their 328, just visit www.bmwusa.com and build your own. Full choice of options *and* accessories. So it made no technical sense that we couldn't have at least some of these items, it's the same car! That's why I asked.

I dunno who puts together the packages/options for each country, but why our selections are limited is beyond me. And why should we pay upcharges for CA and Aluminum? Maybe I'm missing something here, but I wasn't too impressed about it.

Ok, I feel better now

I did a configuration for the E90 in BMWUSA as well, they had a lot more choices for options rather than two packages.

I suppose they will be easier to order for dealer inventory if they keep everything simple. Any special orders they will charge you for it (pretty much just like the Individual ext. and int.)

Though my the sales consultant did not mention anything about special order for options, in fact, he even told us the only way I can have the Sports package w/ all-season tires is for him to ask the manager if he can swap out the all-season tires from a different car onto one w/ the ZSP and he can't guarentee he can do it.

I know about the $400 special order charge but just for my curiosity, do you get charged $400 for EACH special order item or is it $400 and you can put in all the items you want?

I paid the $400 upcharge for *both* my CA and Brushed Aluminum

I was a bit leary on this, but I guess if it was one charge people would go nutz. Although, if I find out that someone paid one upcharge for many extra items I'll freak on my dealer. On a $50+K car, another $800 wasn't gonna change my mind.

I won't be crying doing TO-Niagara in style next summer

Thanks for the welcome Greg, happy to be here.

Funny enough I just finished ploughing through the e90 interior pic thread and my wife and I were just saying how the Lemon interior looked great. And here you are with the same interior. I liked it with both the Aluminum and Piano Black.

Also, I generally don't prefer white, but the e90 is definitely an exception for me. What a sharp ride you have there, I'm giving it 3 thumbs up (e90, AW, Lemon)

Cheers,

H

Yeah he's right. I do recall the additional charge to do custom additions. You just have to pay that extra charge.

Yes, you can special-order stuff. On the BMW.ca configurator and in the brochure, they don't say you can get Electric Red with a beige interior. But BMW let me do it! No extra charge.
