Group Buy for CF Roof (E92's w/Sunroof)

I have talked to the body shop(C&C Collision) that did the CF roof conversion on the E90, and he said that he could get this done for the E92 if we get at least 7 people. I have no incentive in this other than that I want to get my roof done and I need 6 others.

Cost of roof would be $1500 cash or $1500+tax+shipping otherwise. For people getting install done at C&C collision install would be $1300. This includes painting shark fin and rails. Subtract $125 from install if that is not necessary for you. Roofs will be custom made by Vorsteiner. If we get more than 7 people, price of roof will be lowered more than the $150 it is discounted right now.

Once 7 people sign up, a $500 deposit is due to get the roofs made. Should take about 3 weeks to get them made and then installs can be 1-2 cars per week if you choose to get install done at C & C in Pasadena.

As far as I know this is E92 only. I will inquire if we can combine e90's as well but I doubt it since the roofs are different. He needs 7 e92's to get the e92 roof done. In the e90 thread it is mentioned that the installed roof is a prototype, so I would assume a retail version will be coming in the future.

The roof is discounted $150.

The MSRP on the roof will be around $1650, so this is discounted $150, and it will be discounted more if we get more than the 7 needed to start production. This is a unique group buy because its purpose is to enable the production of an otherwise non-existing part. Most group buys are to get a discount by buying in bulk. This is not the same.

The price for the roof $1650 and labor would be the same as the e90 however the group buy is not necessary as the prototyping and production is complete. If you would like to try and organize a group buy on the e90 roof than I assure you the price for the part can be reduced to $1500 or less.

I will start the group buy on the e90 if enough ask me too. What would you like to know about the product? And I can hook you up with one for $1650 plus tax and shipping or with a group buy $1500 or less depending on how many.

I can install the IND one, I don't think Vorsteiner will make it since IND already has. I can arrange to get the IND one for you, just let me know

How many days do you need my car for?
I'm in San Diego so it's quite a trip dropping off and picking up again (+ rental etc.)

To add to the description of the part: the roofs are a dry pre-impregnated autoclaved carbon construction that are then clearcoated with a BMW approved clearcoat for UV protection and quality in appearance. The roofs are also available in a Matte clearcoat finish for no additional charge.
