How to tell if this clutch was on my car?

My car is going in for a clutch and flywheel replacement next week, due to juddering problems (post here). Note that the car is 2 yo, 14k miles.

They are willing to cover the full cost of it (under warranty), iff the problem in the clutch is NOT due to wear. I'm going to ask them to show me the clutch after the replacement. However, I don't trust them, and I'm not sure if they 'll show me the actual one.

My question: Is there any serial number on the clutch or any other identification that I can check before taking it in?
Is the clutch accessible/visible or it needs to be removed?

If you have some time and or money either wait and watch them do it, or have a mechanic you hired watch and document it just in case you have to file a suit

I would just stay and watch them do it. As soon as the clutch is out of the car, you can see it because you are standing right there.

Do the dealerships let you inside the service area?

Yeah, I highly doubt they would let you in there.

Is this a respectable dealership that you are going to?

If this is the dealership then I would trust them, but I understand why you wouldn't trust them.
To answer your question, they could bring any clutch that was from the N54 to show you, and there's no way to tell that it came from your car.
But, if you are that worried, you can ask (and be persistent) to see the flywheel. Make it sound like you are very interested in checking the flywheel condition to make sure that everything's alright.
The only way to see the flywheel is if the transmission is dropped. If the tranny is dropped then you are getting a new clutch.
The clutch for these cars is actually very cheap. The labor is not.
