Nasty.

The cage should have protected the driver OK, but it does look like it was violent.

Looks like a Mini Cooper in the background being put on an ADAC truck may also have been involved.

Sh!t!!!! That is a right mess! Thank god he had a roll caged car otherwise dead for sure, He should have got away with minimal physical damage, it is the internal organ damage that prob needs to be considered in a crash so severe.

Lets hope all involved are OK

Just trying to persuade the mrs to let me go next year, wont show her that pic.

I was thinking of getting a saxo vts,106 gti for the track days what would you lot recommend?

I had a saxo vtr for my first car and it was like a go kart.

Would use the 35 but don’t think she would be best pleased

I'd take the 335d.

It's a long journey on the motorways over there, can't see it being much fun in a Saxo.

The cage has done its job... Without it game over. We cannot say he is ok though. Its the ring.... Most people dont wear helmets.. A car with a cage and driver with no Helmet is usually far more dangerous than a non caged car and a non Helmeted driver.

You hit your head on a cage its game over. EVEN with a helmet sometimes. Why do you think race cars have proper tall and wide sided bucket seats now. Also netts to prevent the head going out the window as it rolls over.

Not all track cars have the ''Correct'' safety equipment. Some people think its enough to have a cage and buckets/harnesses. Unfortunately that aint the case.

You really need to spend time getting the correct equipment and tailored for the car.

Although for sure, the cage has helped massively in this accident. Looks like he has gone end over end aswell.

Hope he had a helmet on!

John, im good mate how are you?

I have a car trailer and would tow it over in my landy im talking fully stripped out track slag every thing gone but a cage and a couple of buckets

I think the vts is about 125 bhp i know its not a lot but in such a small car it would be fun they do handle well for a fwd car too.

I will start a new fred because
1. it'srude in the manner of this fred(sorry)
2.I want to know what you peoples think

Sh!t, hope the drivers alright? Don't know whats worse - the fact his car is dead or the bill they're gonna get for the accident!

Sure thats not top priority at the moment though! Wish them all the best....

but first the dealer will need a few days to try to determine whats wrong with it then book it back in again for parts then book it back in again when the parts arrive, then book it back in as it the wrong parts, then the driver will get the call to say its all ready for collection once the correct parts have arrived and been fitted. the owner will have a when he gats that call. but this will turn to when the problem re appears again in afew days time.
