Anyone recommend any good restaurants round west end or tower bridge area??

Don't miss the chance. Has been a hangout to many an interesting character, from Doyle to Dickens. Not high-brow by any means, but good comfort food, and about as cool and genuine an old world London vibe as you're gonna find, especially this time of year. I promise, you'll be happy you stopped in, one of the places you'll tell peole about.

I know I'm from across the pond, but I've eaten at some great places in London, yet this is the place I look forward to visiting when I'm there.

near bermondsey/ tower hill theres village east...

depends wat kind of cuisine you like...

check on toptable.com

gaucho is quite good for steaks!....theres one in canary wharf....

Please don't go to the Ivy for their overpriced, cold, overcooked pretence for good food

Last time I went I had seared scallops... a brand new junior chef straight from cook school could have cooked those scallops better - over cooked by three or four minutes perhaps? rubbery, chewy, and not in the slightest bit fresh...

The time before that I had one of their burgers - I don't know about you lot, but a burger is supposed to be about beef. Big beef flavours. The burger I had contained almost as much onion and parsley as it did beef. There was absolutely no beef flavour in it whatsoever...

You're far better off going to on of the other Caprice Holdings' restaurants, like Sheekey's or Scotts (albeit those are fish restaurants). Even Caprice is better than the Ivy (and that's not saying much either to be honest)
