Got rear-ended (pics)

Due west on the 290, got hit right after Des Plaines Ave. The driver took off, pursued him till he exited at 1st Ave. Long story short, his driver's license is revoked, insurance lapsed, is his girlfriend's car, etc. etc.

Anyway. From what i can tell, obviously my bumper needs replaced. Also, the right exhaust tip is loose - not sure the extent of damage to the exhaust (sounds normal).

I would appreciate any recommendations to a good repair shop in [preferably, but not limited to] the western suburbs.

Dude, that sucks. I assume you got pushed into the car ahead? What's with the crack in the winshield? Is that the airbag? It looks like it is concave so I assume no major damage to anyone's person, particularly if you were pursuing. Hope you are alright.

Uh, that front does not look like a bmw to me unless the 330i is completely different looking.

The front shots are of the '03 Mazda 6 that hit me in the back. I'm ok. Didn't hit car in front of me. Crack in the windshied is a mystery to me and apparently the driver too...though his whole state of mind was questionable at the time.

best repair shop no doubt: IND/A&L in palatine

They do all of my mods/repair work (my trunk and rear bumper were nailed by hit'n'run) and they are awesome to work with

At this point i think he has alot to worry about ..... which reminds me: he was profusely begging and offering me a whole host of wonderful rewards if i didn't call the cops. Then he wanted me to at last resort, tell the cops his girlfriend (who was not there) was driving. He knew he was going straight to jail. Apparently his last stint in jail was nothing to write home about.

Then he got his girlfriend on the line to 'talk' to me. This is her car, and she doesn't want it impounded - - - again. Sobs. Pleads. Offers.

Did you call the cops and did he go to jail? And I hope you first asked how hot is girlfriend is cause........i dont mind "certain" rewards for keeping the cops out of it.

I felt i had no choice but to call the cops. I thought there was a good chance that my insurance will have to pay for this, so i wanted to make sure that there was a police report to make it 'official' and to ease this claim through my uninsured coverage portion. This way i don't end up being penalized by having my premiums raised.

You probably wouldn't believe this, but he took off when he learn't the state police was on the way
