X1 - major delivery delay
Hi there,
First post here, but looks like the community has a good atomsphere. My girl friend has juts ordered a X 23d and the dealership has advised that the delivery would be mid March 2010! Excuse is that the supplier of the X-line option is having issues (extra code 3XL). Any body else having these delays? GF really wants to keep the option, but mid-March seams a long way off.. |

Wow - looks like there is a huge demand for this baby. I suppose comparing to the replies mid march is not that bad then.
If my gf were to remove the 3XL then it would be mid-January. |

Yesterday I ordered mine which is exactly the same. I agree absolutely with the black rails and white body. Was told to expect it late March or early April.

I ordered one a few weeks ago here in Aus and they said end of March for delivery. Not bad considering if I ordered any BMW as a factory order it would be about the same time.

I ordered my BMW X1 sDrive20d on 1st November and it arrived this week to the stand (last of December)
Next week i will take it with 2010 registration. The color is Marrakesh Brown with X-Line. In Portugal the taxes are very high so the final price with extras and 8% discount is €45.000!!! |

Olá Nunojca,
Did you have push to get the 8% off? When my GF ordered hers it was a real pain but eventually the BMW sales guy gave in. Still 64k is steep for "small" SAV. |

We are in a free market, you can buy it (tax free) everywhere in EU and just have to pay VAT in Portugal. Isn't it interresting for you to buy it in Spain or France ? |

Not really. It's almost the same price, because we have to pay on the legalization for Portugal. We cannot have the car for a long time with a foreign registration.

Long delivery times BMW X1
I ordered mine (X1 2.0dA) the first week in January.
The main problem is that there seems to be a major delivery problem with the producer of the aluminum X-line roof-rails. At the moment BMW says that October-November would be the delivery time which is a bit unacceptable! If the car is ordered with with the black roof-rails, or without any the delivery time would be much shorter! The local BMW salesguy told me to call back in a few weeks time to keep me updated - so say tuned. RE BT |
