I have a 530d on order Without Adaptive drive, (spent the money on Adaptive Four wheel steering instead. Have had Adaptive (Dynamic) Drive on a 745Li. It makes the car go around Freeway on ramps more level, but figured it is a lot of money for the extra for normal freeway driving. (A$7,000 in Australia). If you live on a winding mountain road, it would good to have. HowieR. |

I have the adaptive drive. BMW is bringing this option to every car they have now and it is the future of dynamic driving. I love the idea that in one car I have a super cushy luxurious ride, going 65mph on the freeway. Oh, but then I see some cars up ahead that are "in the way". So with the a push of the button from COMFORT through NORMAL and up to SPORT (not Sport + The gears rev up a bit and the ride firms and I weave in and out and back to open road and back to comfort and better gas mileage.
To me the result of this option is , do I want the 7 series or do I want the M5? This option gives you both (to a degree

I decided to order the Adaptive Drive Option. The car has just arrived at port and will be taking delivery in next week.
