Boost Gauge Help?

Iam going to be getting a boost gauge soon but iam torn between mechanical and digital.I guess the question is for the guys that are running mechanical gauge, How is the veiw? can you tell how much your boosting or do you guesstimate by where the needle is?. Someone please shed some light on this for me ,Also is it a good idea to get a gauge with "peak boost recall" ?.

Thanks guys,Jon

I went with an electrical full sweep version. I have peak recal and warning feature both good to have imo if modding/tuning your car just for peice of mind.

You definitely want peak recall. Its not hard to tell what your boosting. You get used to it. Its like quickly glancing at a clock.

You have to glance at the gauge at wot. Normally i would say 1-1.5 psi less than peak?
