Question about AR downpipe welds

I recently received a set of AR downpipes. Everything looks good except that on one of the welds, the beading down not go completely around. There is a tiny gap, like it is just one bead short. I already asked Andrew about this and he told me that even if the bead is not all the way around, the pipe is still fused and he was pretty sure it wouldn't leak. However, I just wanted some more opinions for my own peace of mind.

Andrew already told me he would take care of it if it were an issue so I am not worried about that. I just want to make sure everything is good to go before I get everything put on. I would hate to have to take it off and reinstall if it did develop into a leak.

if he already agreed to take care of it, then just ship it back and get new one and get done with this case...

instead of sending it back and wasting money on shipping, take it to a muffler shop and have them throw a freakin bead on there.... This way you don't, spend three times as much in shipping costs as you would to actually fix it.

It wont take more than a minute for a muffler shop to make a weld in this spot and you will be 100% secure that this pipe will not leak.

Just because there is not a visible "bead", the tube is still welded/fused. Non-issue - but if there is ever an issue, we always are here to back our products. If you want to send it back in to have me look at it, I'd be more than happy to, and if there is any issue, we will replace it no questions asked.

We will warranty them regardless. The coating needs to be stripped off and re-applied.

You own a set of top shelf DP's, so treat them like it and send it back and have it done right. You'll sleep better.

I personally have never seen a good weld come out of a muffler shop. Most of their employees are hacks. I would rather send it back then have a muffler shop put a weld on it IMO.

I doubt it will be an issue, AR is top notch in terms of quality and customer support. In any case, if you are worried, just do this.

I'm certified by AWS. Post a good pic and I'll be able to tell you if the weld is good enough.
