Is a 100w H7 bulb damage the headlight housing?

As the title states, will a 100w H7 bulb damage the headlight housing from the additional heat generated? I believe the OEM bulb is 55w. Would the car throw an error code if a 100w is used?

(I searched) Thank you!

don't use 100watt bulb....do they even sell it still? I used them like 10 years ago when I first started to drive but quickly faded away

xenon kits are only $50~60 shipped anyway

search my name, I've done a BI-XENON conversion
