getting warm in California = Idle problem?
RIDE IS: 06' 325i
After driving for a little bit with the A/C ON and come to a stop, I feel a sudden vibration and RPM fluctuates (it felt like a misfire, but i dont think it is). Turned the A/C off then it went away, so that tells me its NOT faulty plugs or injectors. Need your help out here guys!!!. I already found a couple thread but doesn't fully relate to my situation here. Last edited by boogiee90; 03-21-2010 at 12:47 PM.. |

check your belt, and see if the ac condensor is loose. look at some basic stuff first, maybe you need a tune up or something, do some fuel system service; if the engine isn't able to compensate the load; which I think is normal as cars get older

mine pulses when it starts up every time, the revs go up and down for about 10 seconds untill it gets warm.
my car will also shutter when you turn on the AC when your at a red light and then stops once you get going. |

my idle is fine after starting the engine...but just like yours, mine shudders when the a/c on and stop at the light. It used to happen randomly but now it happens almost everytime i stop. Its just annoying bc i can feel it in my seat and shift knob...well actually the whole car. I will bring it in to an independent shop to get checked. Stealership would be my last resort. BTW DO you have PBX?

^ No i dont have the PBX yet, in a week or two, just waiting for the funds for it. i have no tune on my car.
the AC thing has happened since the car was new, im 1st owner and noticed it when i test drove it. i would LOVE to take the AC out of the car all together, it heavy and zapps soo much HP from our NA engines but when summer comes arround and gets in the 90's then is a different story. |
