Does Meth keep your valves clean?
The answer is NO! Or atleast it didnt for me. I have been running the coolingmist system since christmas and have gone through a 5 gallon jug of m1 at a 50/50 mixture, just to give you an idea of how much has been used. Today I seafoamed my car and it was insane. I did it twice and the second was stronger than the first. Had anyone looked at the top floor of the garage at my apt they might have thought my car was on fire or something. I highly recomend seafoam to everyone, my car idles better, and the 2c31 codes that would not go away for anything are gone! I dont know if the last one is connected but man it must have been dirty. Also I have 14,000 on it and started meth at 10,000.

A lot of the smoke coming out of the exhaust is a result of the chemicals within the seafoam. i think the stuff is called napthe or something. Investing in a catch can will help some.

What does BMW do with the $700 service?
Do they pull the head and media blast the valves? Also wondering how much of a bitch it would be to pull the intake mani and go to town on the valves with carb cleaner and a wirebrush?

Not sure if this 'result' is conclusive...it just shows that seafoam helped If the OP had taken the intake manifold off and showed the valves extremely carbon'd up still that'd be more convincing. |

Yeah, they tear down the engine media blast the valves, mic them give you a 5 angle valve job and put the engine back together for $700, for an extra $35 they will bore it .30 over and give you a stroker crank, and new forged rods. |

Back 10 years ago when I was racing, we used to take a spray bottle of water and mist water into the intake while running the motor to run it super hot and burn off the carbon on the pistons and valves... Might not have been the best way but hey, we were low budget comparative to todays teams.. And it worked.. And we won a lot of races.
