Hit the dragstrip

I got a chance to take the car out the other night, first time ever there with this car. I have a JB+ at halfway on 93 oct and temp was around 65. I had 3 previous runs that were slower because the car wasn't cooled down after the hour long drive to get there. I am a novice driver also. My car is a steptronic and I took off at 2k rpms, anymore than that and the car was peeling out lol.

60 ft 1.970
330 5.644
1/8 8.680
mph 81.42
1000 11.265
1/4 13.437
mph 104.20

I was actually kind of happy with that last run. This track in KC is considered a bit slow. It definately surprised the F body I was lined up with .

I am planning on modding more and going with a Procede or Giac tune. The Procede looks better to me simply because there isn't a dealer close. I am just worried about my ability to install the Procede.

Crank that JB+ up to 100% and try again. Stock cars are running better times than that... Then again the JB+ is a TMAP tune and does not do much for the top end whereas the JB3/Procede are piggybacks with full boost control, which is more than likely what you need.

ET and 60' are pretty good. I think your mph could've been a touch higher.

As for install of Procede, it is a lot more daunting than it really is. After you've done it twice it is very easy.

Hi frans335 - If you don't have a drag tire setup, I would recommend launch from 2nd gear.

If you're surprising FBodies you're running strong! Many on the forums don't understand about DA, track variances, etc, so expect a few jeers at the times.

Hmmm I may have to try that.

Ok so now I am scared to install the procede. Who the heck in the KC area can do one?

Just curious, what are you concerned about? It's really quite easy. And you really can't damage anything, even if you do it wrong at first.

Shiv

PS. If you really want to install it with someone, just post in your regional forum. I'm sure there is someone who has installed a Procede in their car. A jb3 pnp user would also be able to help as the installation is similar.

i'm suprised you had an m3 before and you're running weak times with a jb+ and AUTO. Practice on a wide, empty street (not high speeds, just launching).

Hi frans335 - as far as installation of the procede ... I just watched the youtube video two or three times. After that, I was good with it.

I really can't see much more improvement with this track and the same hp. This track is notorious for being .2-.4 slower than a good track. This is all we have though. Like I said I walked a modded TA. I thought he was gonna smoke me. The track announcer couldn't believe it either. My buddies were telling me when I returned that the announcer was talking shit on the other guy.
