Hello, can you let us know when the XEDE's are ready to ship out? We still don't know the HP/TQ rating on 91 octane for the stage 0 kits. Any idea what they are and whether the maps are completed for this yet?

Thanks

Welcome Calvin,
Nice to see you're helping out Shiv on all the questions. Can you check out my last question in the FAQ: Tuning the 335i.

I'm wondering the same thing. I ordered the Xede a week ago and no one has replied to my emails regarding when it is going to be shipped.

Xedes will ship out pretty soon, I would estimate within the next week-week½.

I Shiv will be tuning a 91 oct. zero this week, and results will be posted =D

1st question: I ordered mine about a week ago as well. I put down "for 91 Octane" but I'm wondering how much better the 93 or 94 Tune is. If it's that much better, I'll switch to the 93 by adding in 100 Octane to our 91.

2nd question: do you know when a 100 Octane tune will be ready?

3rd question: if you guys have tunes for 91 and 93 already, why does Shiv need to fly out and do the dyno's and installs for everyone? I would assume the "mail order" will simply be based on what Shiv has already tuned for? (this one is more for curiosity as I figure he's busy enough with other work!)

1) We'll find out how the 91 to 93 octane compare in a few more days. Mixing is fine as long as you get the right ratio to achieve the octane you want.

2)

3) Shiv is tuning as many cars as he can in different locations and testing different variables so that you guys, the consumer, can have the best most reliable tuning for your cars (it's to your benefit). Cars and environments differ from each other, so this is the best way to create base maps to minimize any unforeseen variables.

Is tax based on billing address or shipping address? Billing I assume.

Hi Calvin, I just spoke with you this morning about our appointment for 12/20. I'm looking foward to it and imagine myself not getting much sleep as the day gets closer. After reading reviews from owners who recently got their xede installed, you should recommend that new owners wear a diaper on their first test drive

Calvin, Can you provide your best GUESS on how much power the Stage 0 will produce on 91? We won't hold you to it, We're just a little too excited after seeing the 93 numbers. It's seeming to take FOREVER to get the results.... I just hope it's not too dissapointing.....

If we get 310-315hp and 330-340 tq for 91 I would be happy. Is this achievable?

It'll make 600hp at the ECU on a
Dyno

But seriously... 310whp and 330 wtq sounds very reasonable on 91 octane.

Vanilla, I found this in one of his threads...
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...7&postcount=26
your expected power is a possibility if not a bit more according to current dyno graphs

Calvin,

If the XEDE is tuned for 91, what happens if you let your wife borrow the car and she accidently puts in 87?

Why do I ask?

Because she did it once on my E46 M3.

Anyways, will it be safe?
