Tuned N54 vs N55

I noticed that Mike with N54tuning.com posted a BATE stage 1 for the N55. Has anyone had the chance to put the dyno over an N54 stage 1 dyno?

As far as I know, no. If I had to guess, I'd say that there will be a head to head Stage 1 dyno comparison in about 2 months.

Yes there was a comparison posted a few days ago actually. It's in one of these N55 posts.

Dumb question: Where can I find an explanation of the different "stages"?

Thanks

I know BMS will be looking for N55 beta testers in a couple weeks. The stage 1 tuning is pretty strong from what I hear. But it's no tuned N54.

Will the chipped N55 produce the gains as the N54 chipped?

Its too early to tell but the initial impressions from BMS are that the N55 won't be as tunable as the n54. They are working on the tuning and making great progress so it will be a wait and see.

You also have to look at things in perspective. It took a few years of work to get the n54 to where it is now so don't expect the same of the n55 in a few months.

Absolutely, who knows what surprises and knick-knacks will be found during the next year or more as tuning progresses on the new platform..same kind of R&D on all tunes. People need to simply let it be what it is as time moves on. The N54 has spoiled us all!
