BMW USA says no Weather band in E90/E91

BMW USA has officially said there will be no Weather Bnd available in USA E90 and E91.

The manual showing it is a mistake

From BMW USA

"SUBJECT
Weather Band Not Available

MODEL
E90, E91 (3 Series)

SITUATION
Customer states that WB (Weather Band) is not a selectable audio option, even though it is listed in the Owner's Manual.

INFORMATION
Weather Band is not applicable to the US market. "

I haven't seen it in a US model since my E34.

That's strange I wonder why they would do that. I was playing around with the iDrive system in an M6 convertible in a dealership and it went to the weather band.

It's the ability to tune the NOAA weather broadcasts. They're at about 162 MHz.

Its only supposed to be shown at the Frankfurt show for the first time

I'm pretty sure it was an M6 convertable. I was it at the Chapman BMW dealership in Scottsdale, Arizona. Maybe I'm mistaken.

You must live in Southern Cali or somewhere else where the weather is pretty stable.

I love being able to monitor winter weather conditions or bad storms when traveling. Too bad the e90's don't include weather band.
