Written off M3 - I wonder what happened here?

I wonder what happened here? The car is still listed on Carsales as being in Vic:
http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars...d=1255FFFA47D9

And here it is this week on Manheim Fowles in NSW:
http://www.manheimfowles.com.au/find...rm=view_detail

I wonder if it was the seller or the buyer that totalled it?

Wow! You'd wanna hope that wasn't some guy taking it for a test drive.

What a mess.

I bet it was a test driver, there are plenty of morons looking for M3 joyrides these days!

Ouch! If it was a test driver I guess it's hard to distinguish between a genuine buyer and a d*ckhead looking for a joyride.

Not sure if there would be a huge payout for a 3 year old M3 !

It would be safe to say that an agreed, or even a market value, for an 07 M3 would be $140k+ for the car so $20k+ in the hand, above what he had it listed on carsales, wouldn't be insignificant IMO.

Its all very subjective for market value – closer to $130K for an 07 is more on the money but as Oz says you can have an agreed value which is much safer for this type of vehicle – you need a higher value for yours Oz with all the extra gear !

Looks like a few cars pile up ?

Both sides look ok.

It is like nails on chalkboard to see a M3 in this condition.
