335i Cold Air Intake

Anyone get a cold air intake for fheir 335i?

I was checking out http://www.knfilters.com and didnt find any.

lol I guess that's something I'll notice when I get it

I didnt see anywhere in the specs that it came with a cold air intake.

Getting it by end of Feb.

+1 on that. Turbo'd cars normally don't benefit much from an intake like an all motor car would. In some cases, you would actually lose power with an aftermarket intake (without tune) as it messes up how much air flow is coming in and how much air flow the computer "think" is coming in.

Bigger diameter exhuast is the first step for a turbo'd car to get more ponies

I think you'll need to wait a while before a CAI comes out for the 335. Which by now should be soon actually... Probably Gruppe M, but it will probably be just for looks.

+1 on that. Turbo'd cars normally don't benefit much from an intake like an all motor car would. In some cases, you would actually lose power with an aftermarket intake (without tune) as it messes up how much air flow is coming in and how much air flow the computer "think" is coming in.

Bigger diameter exhuast is the first step for a turbo'd car to get more ponies

in reality a more free flowing intake, that takes in cool fresh air in the shortest most direct wrought can make not only more power but can increase in spool up time, wile slightly lowering EGT's . if one was to study the intake on the 335 you can See that the intake is very inefficient its pluming is long, runs over and through many hot spots and the air box lid is very restrictive, yes! is dose eventually take air from the front of the car but is hardly a cold air intake. this intake track ends up running over 5 feet from turbos to grill. good intake?? you guys decide. most ECU's will learn up and compensate for a better intake up to a point(beyond 5V tune required) and there is power to be had.
