do you have adaptive steering?
if not maybe the power steering pump is going bad, OR the main serpitene belt is slipping due to a loose or defective tightner?

I get this too sometimes, very occasionally, but I believe only when I'm also on the brakes. Not positive about that though. Does it happen when turning into a parking spot, for example?
It feels more like a "rumbling" to me, almost like I'm driving over a rough patch of pavement, or like a very weak ABS. I also think I feel it sometimes when braking semi-hard, even when not turning. That may be something different though. Anyway, I don't know if anyone knows the cause yet, but I have seen a few other reports, so we're not alone here. Subscribing to this thread just in case someone can shed some light. These cars are so damn complicated. Cheers, Dave |

Here are a couple of threads about this. I have not been able to get the dealer to do something about this since they couldn't reproduce the problem this time around, and a previous time, a shop foreman went for a test drive with me and then went for a test drive with another used 328i (07) on the lot and they both acted the same way, so he said this is 'normal' behavior.
Normal behavior that wasn't there a few short months prior to it, but came out of no where. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=355161 And an older one... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=293898 Keep us posted on what you / your dealer find. |
