Steering Shakes when turning at low speeds?

do you have adaptive steering?

if not maybe the power steering pump is going bad, OR the main serpitene belt is slipping due to a loose or defective tightner?

I get this too sometimes, very occasionally, but I believe only when I'm also on the brakes. Not positive about that though. Does it happen when turning into a parking spot, for example?

It feels more like a "rumbling" to me, almost like I'm driving over a rough patch of pavement, or like a very weak ABS.

I also think I feel it sometimes when braking semi-hard, even when not turning. That may be something different though.

Anyway, I don't know if anyone knows the cause yet, but I have seen a few other reports, so we're not alone here.

Subscribing to this thread just in case someone can shed some light. These cars are so damn complicated.

Here are a couple of threads about this. I have not been able to get the dealer to do something about this since they couldn't reproduce the problem this time around, and a previous time, a shop foreman went for a test drive with me and then went for a test drive with another used 328i (07) on the lot and they both acted the same way, so he said this is 'normal' behavior.

Normal behavior that wasn't there a few short months prior to it, but came out of no where.
