Liberty Reaches NJ

Well, the Liberty finally moored at the port in NJ.

Now we can all hope for a speedy run at VPC before land transport to our dealer. For the interested, here is an image and website link for the port where BMW VPC is located:

I also am in the Houston area with a 328 on Liberty. Are you hearing anything certain from your CA on when to expect your baby? All I get is sometime the week after Christmas....so while my kids are in post holiday blues and coming down from their toys I'll be gearing up for mine. Who is your dealer - who do they use for overland transport? Mine is BMW North-The Woodlands. Enjoy your car, don't know if you have had a BMW before - if not you are in for a treat. I'm currently driving a 325 2006 - but it is being replaced by the dealer with my 328 on the Liberty.

Hey.. I haven't called my Dealership yet. I don't want to bother them. I'd rather wait and have them call me. I'm guessing sometime during the week of Christmas. I currenty buy and sell cars to pay for College, and my favorite vehicle is the E38 740il. I had three last week, now only two, so yeah, I've had a BMW before. :-D. Even an 02 745li. Never liked the newer ones. I'm hopeing the 335i is better and more durable (doesn't feel like a plastic boat)

Also, I got my BMW from Momentum on 59.

Now all we can do is sit and wait.

I have read the tracking/order guide.. How do you know that Liberty reached nj? http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/search.phtml does not have updated info as of today, and https://www.firstnynj.com/ displays only an estimate date of arrival. Is there another way to check where/ when the shipped docked. Thanks

Yes. And it's now nearly at the Port of Baltimore. I used a website called AIS Live. It takes transponder info from ships and displays them on a map. You have to register for free and the data is at least 1 hour old but it does allow you to keep tabs. Check out the attached image of Liberty making her way up the Chesapeake Bay. Hope you get you new ride very soon!

You didn't happen to buy from VOB in Rockville, did you? I just spoke to my CA and he said he sees that my vehicle has been loaded on a truck for delivery! He said to check back with him on Wednesday. Since Rockville is in D.C. metro, you will probably get delivery around the same time. Let's keep our fingers crossed for an early (just-in-time) Xmas present!

YEESSSS! I can't imagine mine wouldn't be delivered around the same time. Did your CA tell you that? Too bad you can't track the car carrier like we could the ship! But 24-48 hours is NOTHING compared to the wait so far. If it does come Thursday, my vehicle would have taken exactly 5 weeks from order to delivery. Not bad at all!

I went to the dealership to test drive the 07 530i with a friend. After explaining to my dealer that my car had arrived at the port on Saturday, he told me that I should get it by Saturday. We'll see what happens.

I wish we would be getting them by this Satureday...but I doubt it. Liberty is delay somewhere and will not be into Port Charleston until 12/21 according to the Port list.....AUUGHH!!!! Good things come to those who wait....

I may be wrong, but I believe she stops in NJ, Baltimore, NC and then SC. In looking up my VIN with the shipper its destination is SC.....sorry....here is the link to the activity in Port Charles.

LIBERTY is the first vessel listed in the Union Pier Terminal. She should show up as active at the top when she is in port.

I think I'm going to bury my head in the sand and wait for my dealer to call me.
