N55 Pictures

Took some pictures of the engine last night. This could be one of the ugliest engines I've seen in recent memory. Not sure how it compares to the N54, but doesn't look too easy to work on. When I removed the cover, I was reminded of the time when Darth Vader first took off his helmet. Not pretty.

Heh definitely not a looker of an engine.

But at the end of the day as long she performs beautifully, it doesn't matter what she looks like when the hood is closed

At our local BMW meets, there's one member with an older M6 with the S38 engine in it. Now that's a beautiful engine. He's kept it well-maintained. Beautiful chrome and all. There's some nice pictures of them on Google. Just look for "BMW S38 engine".
