Its here!!!
Just collected a couple of hours ago, and only have 1 word to say:
FABULOUS! It's sooooooo smooth and refined compared with the Z4. We have a long (60ft) stone chip driveway and with the Z4 you could hear and feel every stone you drove over, but with the coupe you hardly hear or feel a thing. The ride is superb, it doesn't jiggle about, and even with the 18's (not got the sports suspension) the ride is firm but quite comfortable and smooth. The jade grey is great for showing up the band of orange lights along the side of the doors (thanks to E92-Mark for recommending) and gives, I think, a classy feel to the interior. Lights seem to come on everywhere when you unlock. The gearbox feels incredibly slick and lightweight, and not as notchy as the Z4, but the steering at low speeds actually feels a bit heavier than the Z4, which kind of surprised me. Even tho its 'only' the 2.5i its fairly rapid at putting down the power and I found myself straying up to 40 in 30mph zones and going over 80 in 70mph zones I will need to watch this. I couldn't believe that at 70mph in 6th gear the revs sit at about 2500rpm. All in all - extremely satisfied. The attached pic is pretty poor, but I'll take more at the weekend when its a bit lighter.

Congratulations!
Got my first opportunity to see a coupe up close and personal yesterday while getting the E46 serviced... the closer you get the better they look, pictures just don't do them justice.

Congrats Gordon,
The wait is finally over! It looks awesome I'm glad you're happy with the result. Look forward to some more pictures soon, unless you're fogged in like the rest of us right now. Mark.

Thanks everyone.
I really am loving it, although I havn't actually seen it in proper daylight since Monday afternoon, and that was only for about 2 hours  Finish work at lunchtime on Fri, so if weather good I'll take a few more pics then. Its soooooo comfortable and lovely to drive - it makes the Z4 look as if it never had any suspension at all and really feels very solid in handling/cornering. I'm still getting used to where the back end of the car actually is (when parking), and need to learn to trust the parking sensors a bit more. Gordon.

Nice colour combination. I went for black leather, but when I collected my car from the dealers I saw another E92 Coupe in Sparkling Graphite but with grey leather, and it looked very nice indeed. I'm sure it goes well with 2.5L straight six - I had the much older version of that engine in an E39 (523i) some years ago and it was pretty good. I'm a little envious that you have a manual gearbox and non-sports suspension; if either had been available on the 335d, I would have been tempted. Funny isn't it, you always want what you haven't got (or couldn't have)... ;-)
Anyway, enjoy your new car, and post some pics taken in the daylight ;-)

Hi Z4...
You seem to be enjoying it as much as I am! Looking forward to seeing some photos of yours in the daylight, particularly the contrast between the blue and grey.

I'm pretty gutted at having not seen it in proper daylight since I collected it on Monday afternoon, but will definitely do some pics tomorrow afternoon when I finish work. Actually, given the state of the roads here, maybe I don't really want to see how dirty its got!
I really am totally amazed with it - the ride is superb and the engine pulls nicely. It seems a bit thirsty on petrol, but once this tank is finished I'll put BP Ultimate in. When I collected mine I had a look at a 335i with the Coral red and it really does look gorgeous in a sort of sexy way, but I opted for the Jade as I wanted away from the all black interior that the Z4 had, and the Jade with dark carpets I think goes well together. I'm finding I have to keep an eye on the speedo a lot more... its just too easy to stray over 30mph as the engine is really smooth and refined

hey nice car - and you have a temperature gauge instead of the miles per gallonometer or whatever it's called.
Is that standard on E92's?
