Performance Grilles, AW reflectors
The front reflectors were a major BITCH to get out. They are stuck on with double-sided tape and you really have to put some force into them. The passenger's side is easier to access and I had to unbolt part of the front bumper to actually have a way to get some torque on the driver's side reflector. Not a big deal, real easy to put back together. I took pic's through most of the process if anyone else is going to be switching their's out.
Mods I have so far are BMW performance grilles, IND Painted front and rear reflectors, De-badged, BMW trunk liner - which is actually quite nice and cheap, RD LED footwell/courtesy lights, Passport 9500ix - love the quietness, 35% tint, 3M clear bra With the de-badging and painted reflectors, it really cleans the vehicle up IMO. |

Your mods look great. Can you give some more details to the LED Red footwell mods you did.. Specifically brand and cost of LED's, installation, and possibly some pics would be great. I've been thinking of doing this very same thing.

Sweet Ride! I just picked up Plat Grey, can't wait to get the ugly amber reflector painted. Is the performance grill OEM? How much does it cost?

Absolutely love your ride. Just ordered pretty much the same car, except it's a 35i, alpine white and cinnamon. After seeing your pics, definitely getting the color matched reflectors and thinking about a debadge. I also might stick in some spacers on the rear wheels to kick them out a little flusher, and now am thinking about the performance grills after seeing yours!
Great taste! Rob

Nice ride! I've got a 2010 X5 35d, and I just ordered the grilles from Tischer. I'm also thinking of painted reflectors, and also maybe painting the silver pieces in the front bumper black too.
I've also been looking for pictures of AW X5's with black wheels to show the wife, but haven't found a whole lot. The stockers look like crap after a day or two from brake dust.... Regarding the detector, how did you run the wires? In my 335i, I had tapped into the sunroof power above the headliner, but I don't know if that same option exists in the X5.

CONGRATS, NICE job. Im debating getting the white myself. This is the Premium, right?
How much did the clear-bra run you and did you get the whole hood done? Also hows the clear-bra on white, do the bugs stain it, ect? thanks again.

Looks good!

I am definitely getting the wheel arches and black door strips painted this spring. Not a fan of the flat black BMW decides to put on underside of all the X's. They removed a good deal on the LCI, but still too much exists for my taste. M-sport package looks better will it all painted. I'll probably leave the running board black to set it off a little. |

Hi,
have just a 2012 35d on order and like to change the reflectors or side markers asap! Could you post some pictures from the process? Would be really great - was searching the whole web for some pictures... The driver side is the tricky part i guess and i could need some help. Thanks |
