F30s effect on E90 prices?

I was wondering about when do people think the F30 will make it to Australia. It seems the sedan will be revealed in March 2012, but dont things take much longer (almost 6 months to a year) to get to Australia (Right hand drive and stuff)?

Also, how will that affect the e90s pricing. If I get a 2011 e90, will my cars price drop significantly after the F30s released as it will be the 'old' shape. Maybe people with e46s will know how their cars price fared once the e90 was released.

I've noticed E90's dropping in price since the release of the LCI facelifts. Prices dropped again when the newer 'd' and 'is' models were announced. Oddly, the E46 body style didn't drop as much as you would expect and it's value is now intersecting with that of the E90.

I think it's because more people prefered the E46 body style, but I'm not sure. Another guess would be that it's because there are more E90's on the market and when the market is flooded with supply but not enough demand, the price curve drops. Someone will have to look into the numbers though since as I said, I don't know if the supply/demand presumption is correct.

Looking at MMR the 335 will not take as big a dive as 328 or 330

When I did research for my car (2008 CPO 328i) I thought 328i held value better than 335i, they are definitely more reliable long-term.

I think the real drops will start when a lot of used F30's hit the market.

Obviously prices of the newer E90's will get hit a bit when the F30 comes out, but it generally is a few years until the 'bottom-end' of the old shape models really fall a lot.

2009 BMW  [9.24]
BMW just announced that MSRP of all of its vehicles will be increasing by $1,000 in October...this obviously includes the current E9x models...interesting turn of events...
