Sears 2 ton Aluminum Jack?
Anyone have this or know anything about it? It's on sale this week and I'm thinking about picking one up.
http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...seBVCookie=Yes All 5 reviews say don't buy this jack but can it really be that bad? I need something for my E90 and Pathfinder so I want at least a 2 ton jack.

Why cant I view any reviews in that link you sent?
Who cares! I have had it for about 2 years, and it is damn awesome. Not only is it a little lighter so its easier to move around (its still pretty heavy) it has EXTREMELY low minimum clearance, which makes it ideal for BMWs. I couldnt ask for anything more from it, its perfect for what it is. |

I've seen a few other post on here that like that one or the 1.5 ton one, so I'm probably going to go buy one today.

I cannot say anything about it's quality or review, but I have seen that jack go on sale for cheaper in the past. If you can wait longer, do it.

pics of mine:
I like this jack a lot. You can see how low the jack can get relative to the car. Works great for me. Don't worry about the 5 bad reviews IMO. Probably 5 bad people had problems with it out of the thousands and thousands that have been sold, and those are the people who are going to come online and write bad reviews about it. If everyone who uses it and likes it wrote a positive review, you would clearly see these 5 bad reviews as outliers.. Good luck, your call. I'm very happy with mine.. EDIT: Just noticed you're talking 2 ton. I have the 1.5 ton. Looks pretty much identical though..

Yeah, I need it for the Pathfinder too so that's why I want the 2 ton version.

I have the jack from sears, it is good for what it is, but for lowered cars it is kind of a pain.
i have two, none of them have failed yet, but for some reason my friend manage to brake his within a few months. |

Are people reading the manual and following directions on purging it before use? I am guessing that they aren't??
