I've never used anti-seize. I've also never had trouble removing a spark plug, so I don't see much point in using it anyway.

Far as any pointers, I didnt run into any issues, just make sure you have a flew joint for the 5th cylinder, to get around the strut tower brace. pic for reference to what Im talking about. |

The upside is that it greatly reduces the risk of finding a plug seized in the head at the next change. This risk is small, but on the other hand the cost if it occurs can be astronomical. The downside is making a mess of it. Use a very small amount and do not get it anywhere near the electrode. A very, very small amount. The conflicting advice makes sense. There is no upside for NGK, in fact from their perspective they probably worry about someone making a hash of this and blaming the new plugs. On the other hand Bentley looks at from the perspective of the owner/mechanic who is also going to be doing the next plug change. And for the record, the greatest risks are those applications that involve dissimilar metals. Like steel into aluminium. |

ther is no need to anti seize the plugs. just make sure not to overtighten them. 30nm + or - 3nm i beleive for non turbos. turbos have plugs with a different head and need a special socket. 26nm + or - 3nm for turbos i think. it should be stamped on the plug box.
