safe to run 5w20?

car has 40,000 kms and this whole time it's been running castrol 5w30. but now i have a jug of mobil 1 5w20. is it safe to run this oil? thanks.

experimenting with different oils is the last thing i would do with a BMW.

If it doesn't say "BMW Long-life rating LL-01" on the back of the bottle, don't use it.
