CPO & Regular Maint.

I tried searching but could not find the rules regarding who can perform regular maintenance and preserve the CPO warranty. Can I perform my own oil changes and keep the receipts or can I have it done at an indie shop, or must it occur at a BMW stealership?

I ask the questions you're afraid to ask.

You can do your own maintenance but you must keep good records.

At a minimum you'll need to prove Date and mileage, receipts for fluids, filters etc. Make sure that the type of oil is itemized on the receipt.

I'd get a 3 ring binder just for car maintenance. Add a Ziploc bag to put your receipts and/or bottle labels in and you should be fine. Make sure to use the correct filters - you can't buy the right ones at Walmart or Autozone.

not sure, but I think there is a schedule you can fill in in one of the manuals that came with the car.
