Style 286 wheels look cheap/old-fashioned on E90?
I ordered 328i Sedan with ZSP in July, just waiting for the car to come next month.
I saw an E91 with 286 style wheels and they looked very old fashioned. Yes, I did not really consider the wheel design when I ordered. There was no way to get another design anyway, I got locked into that design as soon as I selected ZSP. Question is, do they really look crappy or I just happened to look at a E91 on which they did not suit that well. What are my options for a leased car, if I want to put on some other wheels, which I can buy used. Over the time of this wait, I have become wheel fetish I think I like all the M sports wheels a lot more than others. What should I do? Can I pick up a used set from somewhere?

The style looks good to me. If anything, they're just a bit small at 17". Even if the car is leased, buy whatever wheels you like (and can afford). Just keep the stockies for when it goes back, and sell the wheels you buy. Check out the Wheels FS section here, there's so much stuff available from just this forum at any given time.

You pulled that pic from this post,
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=399032 I ended up getting these as a winter set and they look quite good. I generally run 162's which I think look great on the E90.

286 are great lookers, maybe a bit small, but still nice, and staggered too. I would say they're the second-best non-M wheels after the 162. Besides, everyone and their mother has M wheels these days. Dare to be different.....You'd get better ride quality too.
