Warranty doesn't cover "adjustments"??

Quick recap

Check engine light.
Vanos something dirty.
They say it's self cleaning if they switch them.
But since it's not a repair it's not under warranty.
I ask, if it's an adjustment why would the light come on?!
They are mean. Pay 150.
Now mad.

Enter Service Manager's Office.
Point out window and say "look"
Pull down pants, tuck crap to the rear, turn around, bend over, show the Goat.

Leave.

Seriously, just go "calmly" to another dealer and show them the light.

Have your girlfriend, sister or mom drive the car to another dealership, and see if they don't respond the same way. Watch, and observe.

1) Call BMWNA
2) Get the representative's name
3) Explain the problem
4) Fax the invoice
5) Follow-up with representative to get a refund.

If no codes are being thrown use Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner (concentrate). It solves rpm fluctuating upon cold start-up. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

I'll bet you that the asterisk doesn't pertain to the Op's situation.
