Rumors of Active Autowerkes tune now available
Picked up my car from my local shop this evening and talked to them about tunes and such. They do in house tuning for AA, and said the software for the E90 325, 328, and 330 is now available and ready to be installed.
does anyone have any information about this? What are the gains? whats the cost? on the website it still says "under development" but this shop say otherwise. I emailed Active, so we will see what they have to say.

Unless the shop has some kind of connection with someone at AA, I think you're being led on a wild goose chase. Someone locally told me they had a supercharger kit ready for the E90/92 chassis a couple months ago. No such animal exists obviously.

I think he was referring to the ability to create a custom tune via the AA tuning machine... but I am not quite sure. I sent the shop an email requesting details about it.
Coming from NC... this is huge. there are very very few shops that specialize on BMWs much less tune cars... so I will keep everyone posted.

UPDATE: this is an email from Active....
Dear Wright, We do indeed have the software available for the 330. This is a complete remapping of your factory DME that allows you to take advantage of all tuning aspects. Power increase is approx 13-15 rwhp and 10-12 ft lbs of torque. This tune is not traceable by the dealer. We do not recommend to use this tune in conjunction with other tuning options. Best Regards, Omar Murray Director of Sales & Marketing Phone: 305.233.9300 / 800.830.3596 ext 232 / Fax: 305.253.8921

Active does offer in house tuning, we are also going to be doing this locally for customers through Active's program so you no longer have to send in the ECU.

I wonder why no one here has it or any dyno's have been posted or why its not even on their website.
This all seems very sketchy to me.

my local shop can do it, it an ecu reflash, and they can dyno before and after...
personally, I would rather hold out for the EZ flash module... but this place is 25 min down the road...

BMW shop in the Triangle
Hi, I live in Raleigh and work in Chapel Hill; what shop do you use for work on your 330 ? I have a 328i and have difficulty finding a shop other than Westgate to perform any performance upgrades.
Thanks, - Ray -

Figured I would bump this to the top, next to the 328 tune from active....
I would love to see some Dynos and get a little more information. Even a comparison dyno between Gintani and AA.

i'm with you on this. as much as i've heard good reviews about the other tunes, i'm more comfortable going with a name like AA. and if they could throw in the option of removing of CEL from headers, sign me up!
