Help with wheel size
Hi, I have a 2006 e90 325i (non sport) and am looking into a new set of wheels. Can anyone help me with size of the front and rear wheels for both 18" and 19"? Sorry, I know nothing about this kind of stuff. Thanks in advance!

For the front you need width of either 8.0" or 8.5" and offset around ET32 to ET35. 235/40/18 or 235/35/19 tires are probably better than the stock size, especially if you get the wider 8.5" rims. The same size wheels and tires will fit on the rear, but you will have a bit of a gap inside the fenders. You can either 1) accept the gap, 2) put 10mm or 12mm spacer on the rear 3) Get staggered setup so you have some wider rims on the back.
For nicely fitting staggered wheels you probably want a 9.5" wide rim and tire size of 265/35/18 or 265/30/19. But I don't think you really need that much rubber on the back of a 325i. I have 235s on the back of my car and I never had a problem with traction! Is there anything else you would like to know? |

Most common front wheel widths are 8 - 8.5 wide with an offset range of 30 - 40. Available rear widths are 9 - 10 with an offset range of 30 - 40. The actual available size will depend on the manufacturer and what they offer. You have quite a bit of wheels to choose from, so if you can give some more info on what style you like best, or what wheel that a particular manufacturer offers, we will be able to help you out further in providing further information about fitment.

Every wheel manufacture is going to have different sizing and offsets available. The E9X 3series generally uses what's called a mid range offset ET30-40. I'll list some of the common wheel sizes and offsets for the car below:
18x8.0 ET35 18x9.0 ET35 18x9.5 ET35 18x9.5 ET33 19x8.5 ET35 19x9.5 ET33 19x10 ET38 I can't shoot you over a PM due to your low post count so feel free to email me here at Alan************.com and I'll get you some more information! - Alan |

The easiest way that I've been able to figure out what works and what doesn't, is to just browse the forums by searching for which wheel you want to put on your car, to see what set up that person did, and just to emulate it. |

I would also recommend doing a search or taking a look at the Showroom thread for some ideas on wheel choices that would look best on your vehicle. -Charles@VMRWheels
