winter tires?

i'm about to buy new wheels and tires and winter is on its way here in NY (long island), and i was just wondering if winter tires are all that crucial. i'm looking at sets of Hankook Ventus V12's and Yokohama S.Drive's and i really don't feel like swapping tires back and forth.

if i get either of these tires is it unsafe to drive them in the winter?

is your e92 rwd?if it was awd then you can pull of all season tires. If you rwd all season tires might not cut it if we get hit with heavy snow this year. You should look into getting some winter tires like bridgestone blizzack.

In my opinion, yes its unsafe and not very fun driving max performance summer tires in the winter. With the RWD 3er I would highly suggest getting yourself a winter wheel/tire package.

Agreed.

Both the SDrive and V12 Evo are summer-only tires that will be very ineffective in snow.
