Just bought my first BMW (e92)
I finally came over to the BMW world from Mercedes. I'm very excited.
It's a sparkling graphite 6spd e92 335i. What are your favorite quick and easy mods? Here's what I've gathered so far from friends: Front and rear carbon fiber roundels Black kidney grills AngeliBright - Angel iBright V3.0 Painted reflectors What else do you recommend? Thanks! |

+1.
Also pick up a secondhand JB+ in the for sale section. You won't be disappointed. (~$150) I quickly replaced my OEM "gooseneck" shifter with the short/weighted ///M shifter from tischer. It was something like 60 bucks, totally worth it. You'll notice the car shifts like balls and that your passengers are really tossed around - don't worry, it isn't you, it's the "Clutch Delay Valve" - search on this forum and change that puppy out. (~$30, plus labor at a knowledgeable shop) Again, you wont regret it. CF roundels are lame in my opinion. What's wrong with blue? Painted reflectors is often the first thing people do...that amber is so gross.

Nice color choice
One of my favorite cheap/easy mods is black kidneys if you want a more aggressive style. Everytime I see a E9x with chrome ones it reminds me how much better the black looks (IMO of course) And if you would like more power, without fucking around too much, get the JB+ and set at 75%...be careful though as once many do this they are immediately inclined to jump to a JB3 |

First off,
No performance mods on that list? Don't buy Angelibrights. Been there done that, they're crap. Honestly I wouldn't waste your time with aftermarket angels. Most of them are junk (RD, AIB's, GP thunders etc) unless you go with a true LED setup which will run more ($600+). I've heard good feedback from LUX users, but again I probably would pass based on experience. That's me though. The nicest I've seen are the OSS but I'm not even sure if Mike or Luis are still around here. Painted reflectors, grilles, etc can be done easily enough for a quick change without too much of a dent on the wallet. The next thing I'd be looking at is an aero lip, totally changes the aggressive stance of your car. Congrats on making the change.

all good suggestions, i'm a good friend of david's and am an active member on m3forum
david- i don't think removing the cdv or doing tuning is a good idea at this point in time. knowing you, you should get used to driving stick again (its been years) and this is definitely the most powerful car you've owned by a long shot. i do have the e90 oem ssk on my e46 and its a great mod and probably worth doing in the future for you. definitely get some pics up once you take delivery this weekend, you'll find that most threads always wants pics oh and welcome to the addiction of car modding |

welcome to the club Dave!
Butterfly valve "mod" should be #1 on your list. Disables the butterfly valve on your left exhaust pipe, keeping it open. This makes for a better exhaust note at low revs. You thinking about wheels at all? I have some well-used 19s that I'm getting tired of. Cheap for you |
