E90/1/2/&3 Timeline

Anyone know when each model is suppose to come? I ask this because I have recieved new info that the E90 M3 is suppose to debut alongside the facelifted E90 3 series. At this point in time w/ the E90 having been out just a year I'm trying to figure when a facelift would be appropriate? The E65/66 F/L did not occur until four years down the road, while the Z4 F/L has just been launched three years after the cars intial release to the public. If those release dates are anything to go by it can be assumed that we won't see the E90 M3 until 08' as an 09'? Which would mean a very short life for the pre facelift/current E90 sedan? Really odd, but it's anyones guess. They could also opt. to launch the E90 M3 first, then a year or so down the road carry over changes(such as the new grill, as seen in the latest spy picsl) onto the F/L model. Beats me as you can already tell...

Usually BMW does its facelifts 3 years into a model range.. so it would seem odd for BMW to throw out a facelift and an M3 this coming year. It would seem to make more sense that this summer the coupe comes out, and then the year after the M3-sedan comes out. But even then that only puts 2 years under the E90s belt before a facelift so it seems premature. Its hard to say whats going to happen, especially since the E90sedan sales are far from sluggish, so BMW has no reason to rush to a facelift.. I've been thinking about the same things as you, and I just can't figure out what they are up to.

Yeh totally, I know for a fact that the grill(got me real excited) IS indeed going to be on the E90 M3, it's not some spare from the parts bin at BMW. I wouldn't expect major changes though to an E90 3er sedan F/L, simply because the design for so many reasons works so well(Look at the Z4 F/L, very subtle). Exciting times as usual to be a BMW nut...
