Smokers package and bluetooth
I've found that BMW sales people know little about the product they sell. Discerning buyers know a heck of a lot more. I've had to educate sales reps on F10 / F11 options on more than one occasion
Here's a couple of questions none of them has been able to answer with any conviction: First, I read in BMW Car Magazine that failure to delete the smokers package (for those who don't smoke) will result in one of the cup holders being positioned close to the idrive controller such that access to the controller will be awkward when a cup is in the holder. Is this true? Second, I know that bluetooth telephone prep with telematics (633) comes with the professional media package. As far as I understand it, it allows you to see your telephone contacts list on the phone and make hands free calls. If that's the case, what does bluetooth telephone audio connection (6NF) do? |

I did a little more investigation into this with a dealer.
It appears the problem with the cup holder and smokers package only occurs when a manual gearbox is fitted. Bluetooth telephone audio connection (6NF) apparantly enables you to transfer music from your phone to the car. |
