Does jacking your car up cause any damage?

Hi guys,

is there any risk of damage by jacking your car up by the jacking points? I mean in the sense of a warped frame or such... it doesn't seem like a good idea trying to lift the car by exerting pressure on something the size of minidisc...

Thanks!

No. It won't damage the car. Why else would they call them jacking points?
