winter tires on my F11

hello, i'm new here and my F11Mpack 535d will be delivered next week .
now i would like to keep my 19" wheels and put winter tires on it ...
problem : there is only one brand offering a RFT in that size: pirelli ... and i don't like . Its expensive and no good ...
In size 255 there is more chose ...but is that ok ?

dont get RFT - replace them with non-rft tires. then you can go for 245/40/19 front and 275/35/19 rear dunlop winter tires. They cost 300 front, and 280 rear.

I have jsut received my 20" winter tyre

I wish i could post pics - the car is yet to arrive

My winter setup is: 245/35/20 Pirellis front (there are only pirellis in that size) and 275/30/20 dunlops rear - staggered setup on ferric grey 312 alloys.

All this on a white f10 with m-sport. Here some pics of what the parts

It will look insane for sure! I had 20" 312 on my F10 530d (not ferric ones) but this time I will put on 20" Hartge Classic II on my upcoming AW F11 535dAM + some small changes on the car itself..

Will use the 18" M-sports on Conti winter tyres.. Will look totally wierd with 18" when I'm "used" to 20" but then again, I will not drive that much on the winter..

Bought them from a brittish wheel company that my friend recommended to me and they should arrive any time now And my car aswell haha! The wheels costed me around $2000 (4xwheels, wheelbolts, wheellocks, BMW OEM caps + Hartge black caps and a mobility kit incase of puncture)

There was a lot of talking whether they would fit or not. Hartge havent fitted any wheels on the F11 but I was told that it is exactly the same as the F10 from a couple of BMW dealers. So should be a flush fit! And I hope that they will sit better then the 312s because they really need to sit a couple of more centimeters out..

I really look forward to pick up the car and try them on.. If you are interested I can check the name of the company/site, I dont have the invoice here haha! And pictures will be uploaded of course!

No, no replicas.. They are genuine Hartges, bought them from www.alloywheelsdirect.net (same place I bought the 20" 312s and 19" 225Ms to my 335 )

Price was really good when the GBP is so low compared to the SEK And they offer great service!

we have a good exchange rate now (0,87 eur = 1 gbp) but still, the hartge alloys are close to 2700 eur = about 4000 usd, so nothing near to your 2000 USD??

Haha, sorry I meant around 3000 USD and 2000 GBP.. But your calculations are quite near the total with tyres!

Price is without VAT, all the accessories and shipment to Sweden. No tyres though, but got myself some really really good Kumhos (perfect for the F1x btw.) here in Sweden. Recommend them 150%, really quite and comfortable even in 245/35/20 and 275/30/20 or 255/285. Payed 1000 USD for them fitted, balanced and shipped home to me. Grandtotal around 4000 USD on todays currency

The F11 has non-staggered wheels, so 245/40/19 all around.

I'm happy to help Its really hard to find some nice wheels that will fit the F1x.. Except for the big names like Hartge, AC and of course BMW. I love the 312s but didnt want to go with the same wheel again!

Pics.. Funny thing happend earlier.. My dealer called today to tell me that "a beautiful 535d had arrived" but I'm away on business haha.. So the car is heading to a sealent treatment, or what you call it.. And I'm still waiting on the wheels, no pictures before that

18x8 ET33 have to work on my F11 535dAM when OEM 18" 350M are 18x8 ET30 right? I'm thinking of selling my 18" 350Ms if the price is right and go with another rim..

Yes, I can't see those not fitting, since they only sits 3mm more in.
The only problem might be with the brake calipers.

I hope that the brake calipers won't mess it up because now I have agreed to sell my 18" 350Ms for almost $3250 and the buyer have put deposit.

Already have wintertyres ready, 255/45/18 Nokkian Hakka7 and just ordered the new 18" wheels. Next time I have to go with 20" wintertyres and 21" summertyres, if being put on a F1x haha

I thought so too.. But the price is with tyres, the standard RFTs and they are really expensive here in Sweden. I sold a set of 135M+RFTs before the summer and got $2500.

Have you found any good summerwheels yet Rsyed?

the 2500 for my m351s were with tires too - brand new from the factory. Anyways, great job on the deal!!

Summer wheels??? haha - I am still hunting for winter tires. the front 245/35/20 winter tires are on order BUT the biggest problem are the 275/30/20. Dunlop used to produce them till recently and now are are sold out all over europe. So my biggest worry is to find a tire - have already found one but only one. Now i need a second one.

otherwise, for summer - i could go for the breytons (black with silver polish), or again 312s, or maybe the f10 m5 alloys only if they are out by then...
