Which fmic is sufficient for me?

I don't track my car so will a bigger and better i.c do me any justice? I might take the car to an event or two in the future but not consistently. I do want good gains. Summer here will see 90's but mostly 80's. Would I notice a difference between a helix (for example) and Ets as an aggressive street driver or if I did 3 or 4 1/4 mile runs.

Why not consider a Forge IC? It is a little larger then stock and does not require any modifications. You'll hardly know that it even there.

This. The Forge is a great piece, and we have some great pricing on it as well. Shoot me a PM!

The two names I used are just examples. I don't want to have a the biggest and baddest ic unless it is more beneficial for street also, opposed to 30min tracking

Honestly. It seems that all the intercoolers on here will meet your minimum requirements... so now it's just up to you to pick one you think looks good at a price you can afford.

I recommend: Forge, Helix, AMS, HPF, AA, etc

Got 424whp with an ets fmic/dps/dci + meth. Flatlined iats through a 2-3-4 pull can't ask for more than that. The included plumbing is also better for flow characteristics than the stock piping.

I'm pretty sure I've heard about a GIAC Stage 1+ that requires an FMIC upgrade. If that is still available, I imagine any FMIC upgrade would be good enough to qualify. If an FMIC upgrade will not get you to GIAC Stage 1+, I would forget the FMIC and spend your money on something else.

Thanks for the review! You can't go wrong with a direct replacement intercooler with no cutting or trimming that performs like a much larger core

We also offer a life time warranty against any type of manufacturer defects or leaks.

The intercooler will also work with all our new products being released shortly!

Thanks,

Michael

It doesn't use the stock connectors correct? So you do need to modify it some just like the others.

helix bolts right in with no trimming you simply have to remove the 2 factory lock couplers and replace them with the silicone and turbo seal murrray clamps we supply with the FMIC.

The newest revision has round bullnose bars on the ambient face and the hot charge side of the intercooler. these bars direct and allow the air to pass into the core more easily. we will have more of these in stock in the next week or so and are going to be running a new groupbuy as well!

Helix next to an AMS fmic on the bench!
