You can fit 20", but you have to reduce the tyre profile accordingly.
Example: 275/40/18 (standard M Sport rear) gives an overall diameter of 677 mm; for the same width of tyre on a 20" rim, the closest match would be a tyre size of 275/30/20, giving an overall diameter of 673 mm. I think this is well within acceptable limits. Best thing would be to speak with your dealer. BMW offer a range of OEM rims in a variety of sizes up to and including 20" |

As far as I know, you can fit non-RFT's to the OEM rims and you can certainly fit non-OEM rims on the car, but you must ensure that the offset and PCD conform to BMW specs.
Any reputable aftermarket supplier will advise you accordingly. |
