Do whatever the CBS data tells you to do.

Well isn't the "Vehicle Check" as per the CBS around 70K?

If it was my car approaching 70,000 miles I would have the coolant flush, change oil/filter, air filter, cabin air filter, power steering flush, brake fluid flush, and trans flush.

Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

I'm 50/50 on the tranny flush....I heard flushing it completely can promote damage to the gears because debris can become dislodged after draining. Some flush 75% and fill. Others wait for the tranny to fail....too early to tell for the E9x chassis but my friend's old E46 went up to 175K when it failed....original fluid too.

I'm at 58K and can't decide whether or not to flush my transmission. Talk around here is you do it religiously or don't do it at all. If I had the chance to swap my fluid out earlier I would have. But I'm kinda thinking about just leaving the fluid in there till it fails.

^Keep in mind the manual specifically tells you to flush it at 100,000 miles. See page 7. Might as well do it a little early.
