VIN doesn't come up

Why is it the dealer can't pull anything up on my car in their systems? I have had the car since it was new (August 2007) and just moved back from Germany. I suggested that was the reason and they said no they get cars all the time in from guys that lived overseas and never had this issue. The manager even thought the VIN was different than what he usually sees (FV66078) I believe is the last 7.

Looks like a call to BMW NA is applicable for this issse.

Production Code: VA33"

It should be in the BMW database...
