Tire Monitoring Sensor ON!
Hey guys, I have a 2006 BMW 325i and just changed a new set of aftermarket wheels. When I drove it, the TPMS light came ON. Now, I'm figuring out how to reset it but I went into a dead end. Here's my situation: 1) My user manual is gone because I did not get it when I bought the car (used). 2)They say that there's a (!) button on the dash but I looked all over and mine does not have it. 3) I checked the stem of my original wheels and it's not metal. It's just the regular rubber type so it does not have TPMS on the wheels.
What will I check next? Anybody knows something, please let me know...Thanks. |

Make sure all your pressures are to spec...check your driver's side door jamb for info.
Follow the guy above me link to reset the FTM. He's right, you don't have TMPS. |

Got it!
Yes, it think it's a FTM (Flat Tire Monitor). I downloaded the 2006 Manual and there is a procedure in page 72. It's actually done on the car computer thru the stalk on my left. Just did the INIT and the symbol went away. I just need to drive it and hope it does not come back.

I've got the same problem after adjusting my tire pressure. Anyone knows what the appropriate tire pressure for 225 45 17 inch winter tires for a pair of Bridgestone LM 22 and a pair of Hankook IceBear W3000?
