Thanks VMR for screwing me over. Crafty lies and broken promises
A few months ago VMR told a vendor on here that they will be coming out with the V701 wheel in 18's size and in 1series specs. I immediately jumped on it, it would be the perfect setup I was looking for. Everything was going well, the rears were made and already shipped to me, and they were working on the fronts and would be out soon.
Then the delays came, and came, and came, and came. I lost track what number delay we are on now, but with each one I grow more and more angry. And as of right now, with this latest update from my vendor, he doesnt think the fronts will ever be made. So now I'm stuck with rear wheels I can't sell, and VMR is sitting pretty with my money saying "oh well". My vendor is not at fault here, they are just as frustrated as I am. I just dont want to call them out because this thread isnt bashing my vendor, its the company my vendor received empty promises from. If my vendor wants to post up, then they can. But they have been incredibly helpful thru this whole ordeal. It just sucks because they are getting just as screwed over as I am. As for VMR, I can't say anything nice about them at the moment. Unless they come thru and fulfilling their promises, I dont want anything to do with them. I couldn't afford Advans RZ's, which is why I decided on the VMR V701's. But after all this, looks like Advans should have been the way to go in the first place. At least those wheels EXIST. |

I must admit, I am getting sick and tired of these vendors and there LACK of accountability. I know its not the reseller fault since they are just the middle man, but someone should be held accoutable.

Your vendor is at fault as much as VMR. They are business partners, do not be that easy on them. Your vendor "sold" you the product, it doesn't matter who manufactures it, or where they got it from. You should be able to return it and get the 100% refund. Then it is between the business partners to resolve the conflict.
Fight for your right, don't just accept it as "I got stuck with rear wheels"

i would say its more of a vendors fault. they sold you the wheels not vmr. vmr is only supplying them. the vendor is the one authorizing it to go through and unfortunately they did it without full knowledge if the wheels would be made at all (on a hunch).

It was VMR making the promises, not the vendor. Everything was on track and VMR was the ones saying the wheels were coming out. Then the emails came saying things were delayed, or saying a "limited number of wheels will be produced"or the latest one saying "production was pushed to accommodate for some last minute changes in market demand". Just make my damn wheels and maybe the constant pestering from both myself and my vendor would stop. VMR assured us the wheels would be made, BACK IN JUNE! |

Do you have a receipt/invoice stating you paid for some wheels that were never delivered? If that is the case then you stand to benefit for a full refund (as long as the rear wheels are returned to vendor in new condition). If not I would take it to small claims court...by giving up the money you basically entered into a contract with the vendor and the vendor in turn with the manufacturer (VMR).....I would NOT stand for that...since June????? Fraaaack that.......

you have the right to return an item
and you should expect a discount on your next set for all the trouble, the vendor/VMR should be making things right, not making things worse.... just the way to run a business |
