ITT: Post some of your favorite toys from your childhood

In the spirit of the holidays, post up some of your favorite toys from when you were a kid.

Or something that you got for Christmas/Birthday that you were so excited about you contemplated peeing your pants rather than stopping playing with it.

For me I really liked any kind of toy cars... I especially liked stompers because with those big foam tires and 4WD they'd climb almost anything. I can still remember piling up legos and winding one of these up to see if it'd crawl over it.

And as far as something I'd rather shit myself than stop playing with it, I'd have to go with my Tyco slot car set.... it_was_awesome when I got it for Christmas. I remember going into Toys R Us when they had those huge displays cases with all the cars on the tracks, etc. and being so excited I couldn't stand it.

Best money I ever spent (took me like a year to save up) was to buy a 15 minute quick charger and an extra 9.6V battery pack (cause it fit all my tyco RC stuff). BOOYAH!!!! But before I had it, you're absolutly right.. 4 hours was f o r e v e r.

If you built and re-built this pirate ship over and over again raise your hand. What a gem.

The TECHNODROME!

TMNT was a little after my time, but my brother had ALL of them... LOL.

As far as "big" playsets, this is the one that I always looked at in the Sears Wish Book.

I grew up in a neighborhood with enough kids my age to field two teams in any sport. So we were always playing football or sandlot baseball or street hockey. If we weren't doing that, we were riding bikes. Never had any long lasting favorite toy that wasn't sports related.

That's probably because you were a foot taller than everyone else your age.

You were that awkward giant in elementary school? 6 feet at 13.

haha I wasnt awkward, but I was 5'10 at 13, but I grew up from humble begginings and we didnt have the money to spend it on to much stuff. I loved those sports because in the South thats what we do(why the SEC is always in the run for the national). No pun to the guys who did I just was raised a little different.
