E93 Suspension
This thread is specific to suspension for the E93 only. I understand it may be different than the sedan and coupe because of the additional weight.
1. What do you have? 2. Where did you purchase it? 3. How do you like it? |

I did a little research on this recently, not on an e93, but an e90 and the simple answer is yes the suspension is different. In particular I think your rear springs have a higher spring rate due to the addeed weight of the convt. That said, I believe your car shares some components with the e series of cars. To further complicate things BMW changes the springs for each model depending on what options you have in your car. Below is an example for a 335d taken from Jim E's post. Call your dealer's parts dept and provide them with the last 7 digits of your VIN # and they will tell you the part numbers for your suspension system.
Let me give you examples of the 335d. For a barebone 335d the springs are as follows. 31 33 6 767 370 Front 33 53 6 767 340 Rear Add a sunroof and you get: 31 33 6 767 370 Front 33 53 6 767 341 Rear Add electric seats and you get 31 33 6 767 371 Front 33 53 6 767 341 Rear Add Fold down rear seats and you get no change. Add sport seats and no change. Add Active cruise and you get no change. Add nav and you get no change. Add logic 7 and you get no change. You get the picture. For a car that starts out with sport package (ZSP option 704) you get: 31 33 6 767 379 Front 33 53 6 767 347 Rear Add a sunroof and you get: 31 33 6 767 379 Front 33 53 6 767 348 Rear Add electric seats and you get 31 33 6 767 380 Front 33 53 6 767 348 Rear |
