Suspension overhaul, help me finally do it right (what to buy)
I am sick and tired of messing with my suspension. I want to do it right once and for all.
What I am looking for -smoothest ride possible -ability to drop car between .8-1.2 inches, not slammed -improved handling over stock sport suspension -price at 1k or less What I dont care about -tracking the car, race suspension setup -adjustable dampning, since i want a comfort based setup SOOO with that in mind, i have been looking at the -eibach pro system kit which is 675 and includes pro kit springs and matched shocks/struts -sonic s1 coilovers -fk silverline coils -st v1 coils What should I do based on my needs? Right now I am leaning towards the st or eibach setup.... I would also consider used coils if the price is right and they are in good condition. |

ive got sportlines i dont think pro kit will be low enough for you. also what is your new tire sizes if you stick with the same this is what eibachs will look like. you can get tires that will take up more wheel well.

I would go with the pro-kit system. I installed pro-kit springs on my e92 with stock shocks (just waiting for them to go bad) and still I can't believe it lowered the car and its' very comfortable.

Coming from the makers of KW suspension systems the only main difference between the ST Variant 1 and KW Variant 1 is the steel they use. While KW uses Stainless Steel for their shock housing, ST uses Galvanized Steel. However, this does not mean a drop in quality, durability, or appearance. Although coilovers that use galvanized steel are more prone to corrosion due to environmental influences (i.e. mixture of salt water); those in the lower states: California, Texas, Florida, Nevada, etc. don't have to worry about corrosion. Those in the mid to upper States that snow still don't have much to worry about as long as they do not drive in heavy snow conditions upon where salt is used on roads. to further ensure those with doubt about Galvanized Steel, ST has corrosion resistant zinc plating on all of their threaded strut housings for further protection. You'll be able to lower your car in 1.2"-2.4" in the front and 1.0"-2.2" in the rear. I'll go ahead and shoot you over a PM with more details in regards to pricing! Thanks for the plug and I do take care of all you E90post members. Let me know whenever your ready to get this set up |

Internal components are exactly the same (this is confirmed multiple times by KW) so most likely yes made in same factory for the components. Assembly could either be in Germany or maybe here in the US - again I am just speculating on assembly. The ST's are an amazing value - if you don't need need the stainless steel.
