Lol how many threads are you making about xi springs?

i springs have higher spring rates + lower than xi springs. Also designed for a car that weighs around 200 pounds less so there's some risk. It will fit though

Edit: this only applies for sport i springs

i dont understand what you mean, do "i" springs lower the front end more then "xi" springs on an "xi" car, yes or no?

They do lower it more, reason being is that the "I" is 200 lbs less than the "xi". They compress the springs more because of more weight.

BMW "i" models do not have the rake that xi models do. On xi cars, the front sits higher than the rear. As a result, it's not that the "i" springs lower the front more, it's that they level the suspension out so that the front sits at the same height as the rear. Obviously there is a weight difference between "i" and xi models so the long term negative affects of running "i" springs on an xi is unknown.

^ Hows it feel though? How does their performance compare?

Seems like a good consensus on the difference between H+R and Eibach, but not this.

i got the sport springs for the (i) model and the ride height is soooooo nice. if you are going to do this you must get sport shocks to go with them. i got Bilstein sport shocks. i love it

^ I'm between H&R Sport and Eibach paired up with Bilstein Sports. I like the reports of a bit less harsh ride on the eibachs, but I don't want the raked look.

I'm leaning towards getting the front spring perches for the front which bring it closer in line, but if the H&R sport "i" version are driving nicely then I'd consider that.

My struts are toast, and I need a replacement now. Would like to get the car lowered a bit (modest as I'm a professional, and the car is a Boston daily driver), improved performance over stock (less floatiness on hwy, flatter corners), and not a riced out civic, bone jarring uncomfortable ride.

you cant get the perches with the XI they dont fit. the eibachs are less harsh and they look good because they are meant for the (i). the most raked look would be getting the H&R XI springs. obviously the best for ride height would be the H&R (i) springs. but if not that then i think you will be happy with the eibachs. make sure you dont use run flat tires with any of these setups. it would be soooooo harsh. have you seen the thread of XI owners with eibach springs? they look pretty
good.

For the record, I ended up with Bilstein Sports and Eibach pro-kits, and I've been very happy with both the look and performance. The rake is pretty much gone.
